Theta Gold Mines Ltd (ASX:TGM) has made significant progress toward completing its TGME underground gold project in South Africa’s definitive feasibility study (DFS).
The company has finished the TGME gold plant’s front-end engineering design (FEED), which is a significant contribution in the DFS’s finalization.
Notably, the overall DFS is currently undergoing QA/QC, with completion scheduled by the end of the quarter.
“DFS is moving along nicely.”
“DFS is proceeding well, and the documents are currently under internal review,” said Theta chairman Bill Guy.
“The process plant was designed by MET63, a seasoned South African consulting firm.
“As new TGME gold mines come online, the plant will be configured to handle a variety of ore streams.”
“More than 80% of plant components and raw materials are expected to be supplied locally from South African vendors,” says the company.
“Mine equipment manufacturers and suppliers abound in South Africa.
“The modular design allows for easy future expansion while also reducing building time.”
